So everyone understands, there is only the "Golden Retriever". However, here in the U.S. & Canada, we commonly refer to the "American" Golden and the "English" Golden. What this really means (if someone else has a better way to say please let me know!) is that there is an American "type" or "look" and an English "type" or "look". In actuality, there are several American "types" and several English "types". This web site has been set up to profile those Golden's that are of the English "type"!
Only those North American breeders/kennels that have a genuine interest in the English Background Golden retriever will be showcased on this website. Those who attempt to market & make false claims (i.e. the cream (often, incorrectly referred to as white on certain websites) as being a rare shade of gold), are not welcome. Those who are also in the business of breeding mixed breed dogs are not welcome.
